[ Eric was trying his best but there were just too many people to just deal with his knife and regular fighting. He had to pull out his aura and hope for the best.

At first he brought it out small, enough to do a few knife swings and punches. Maybe it was because he wasn't focusing as well as he should or he bit off more then he could chew in a fight, but the small flame grew too fast and too quickly. He yelped a bit as it got his arm but when he unleashed it it managed to do quite more damage to everyone else then to him. ]

[It was the familiar heat of their Aura that brought Izumo's attention to what was happening inside.

Leaving the unconscious manager on the floor, he hurries out to see the damage, a curse bitten back at seeing how bad it was.

He turns his gaze to Eric, slowly walking over to him so he wouldn't freak out.] Eric. [He calls out his name in English, his tone firm.]

[ He tried to get it back, he did. But when another two thugs came at him with guns it reacted faster then he could. He was trying to remember what Fujishima and Totsuka said about bringing back his aura but his mind was blanking out and he was starting to panic, which only made things worse.

He jumped almost a foot in the air when he heard his name and spun around to see Kusanagi. He was okay, good, good. Eric wasn't which was bad. ]

There were too many and I thought...but...

[Okay, that's a good sign. Eric talking back to him and comprehending what he's saying is good.

What isn't good is how panicked Eric appears to be.

So Izumo steps closer to him until he's standing in front of the younger, his expression never revealing what he's thinking.] It's okay, relax. Calm down. Take some deep breaths.

[ Not okay it's not okay, Eric was bad he shouldn't have done this. Bad bad bad, he was bad. ]

No good, I'm no good

[ He was trying to relax but in this state, older habits were coming out and filling up his head. Eric curled up slightly, hands on his head, not quite registering his aura at all. ]

[If Eric's aura is still lashing and Izumo's at a close distance, then Izumo might get slightly burnt by it, not that he lets it enter his mind.

He shakes his head slightly, though, and carefully places his hands on Eric's shoulders.] Eric. Eric, look at me.

[He keeps his tone firm, enough to hopefully break through whatever daze Eric's placed himself in.]

[ It is and he will feel the worst that he had let that happen. But the physical touch jumps him back to reality and he slowly looks up to see who was the one doing that. ]

Kusana...Kusanagi-san? You're...

[ Something else clicks in his mind, and he begins to slowly calm down, breathing properly if not a bit shaky. His aura starts to calm down reducing itself before vanishing completely in what feels like forever. Eric remains how he is, trying to absorb what just happened. ]

[Izumo says nothing for a moment, not even when Eric talks again.

He simply waits for him to calm down, waiting for his aura to calm down before it disappeared, not even a fading ember in its wake. Sighing, he slowly releases Eric once he's sure he won't snap again.] Just take some deep breaths, Eric.

[ He nodded, listening and trying his best to do those deep breathing. The aura was gone now, the only evidence being the burnt areas in the bar and the people, Eric's arm and sleeve and whatever Kusanagi had gotten on him as well. ]

I'm sorry, that wasn't...it was suppose to be small

[His hands suffered the most damage due to direct physical contact with the aura, but it's nothing stupid. His jacket and scarf is slightly singed, too, but Izumo's not one to worry about clothes.

He just keeps watching Eric.] If's alright. You're still learning how to control it. It's easy to lose control sometimes.

[ Eric looks at Kusanagi's hand and looks to the ground, feeling a bit sick to his stomach because he had let that happen.

He won't get any better, he's still learning. He won't ever learn how to control. He's going to hurt someone, he's going to hurt someone he cares about, someone from Homra, and they'll hate him even more... ]

Just so useless...

[Izumo is usually patient. Eric briefly reminds him a tiny bit of Mikoto when the redhead first became King.

Always so scared, unsure, worrying he'd never learn control. But Totsuka became that support for their King back then.

And the memory causes him to hit Eric on the head (albeit lightly)]

[ It was lightly but it still made him jump and grab his head, staring back at Kusanagi. He winces a bit because he just moved his injured hand. He did something wrong again, so he curls up a bit more to be smaller. ]

I'm sorry...

Stop apologizing. [A small scold, gentle yet firm.

He shakes his head a bit when Eric seems to curl up and places a hand on top of his head.] One trick in controlling the aura is ta not let yourself doubt it. If ya do, it'll be easier for ya ta be consumed by its power. Feeling useless — d'ya really think none o'us felt that way before in HOMRA?

[ He flinches a bit at the hand on his head, expecting something else. A small hit can turn bigger. ]

You can all do it! You can all just be useful, with auras and cooking and...no matter what and I...I cant do anything right. Not even walking through a crowd. I still cant use this aura at all! I don't belong!

Saying ya don't belong 's like saying none o' us do. [He ruffles his hair, his expression growing soft.

This really does bring back memories.]

We can do what we did because we have support. 's just the matter o' getting used ta it. Even Mikoto had trouble from the very beginning when he became King.

[ He looks up at Kusanagi fighting between running away and hiding to staying and being helped by him. ]

Even...Mikoto-san?

[He gives a nod.]

Even Mikoto. D'ya really think he adjusted being a King so easily? Even he had troubles in the beginning.

Is that so?

[ He's silent, debating everything. For even to have Mikoto struggle with his power, means that he could try and harness his own. Maybe he wasn't so useless, e did know a few things at least. And, he didn't want to leave Homra, at least, it was a very far off idea at the moment. ]

I'll...keep trying. If that's okay.

O'course 's okay.

[There's a relief he wanted to show, but he hides it. Right now, Eric needs to be able to learn control and not freak out.]

And this time, how about ya really ask for help this time? [Almost like a reminiscent of how Fujishima talked to Eric, but at the same time, not quite.]

Ah, right... I need some help, please.

[ With more then he even knows what to deal with. But one thing a time. ]

[Izumo pats his head before dropping his hand.]

It just won't be me helping ya. The others will help ya, too.

[ Eric frowns a bit at the patting but it does help to make him feel better at least. ]

...Homra really is a weird place

[That has him chuckling, a hand on Eric's shoulder as he carefully maneuvers him out of the bar.]

It may be weird, but we're all like one big dysfunctional family.

[ The help is appreciated ]

Makes it even weirder, to be a family...

[ He never really heard of that in any other gang. one of them hanged out this often, or treated each other with this much respect to everyone, especially the lower ones. It was such a huge difference between Hikawa and Homra that he had a hard time wrapping his head around it. Family, huh? ]
